Work in the area is predominately energy, and currently many opportunities for reclamation. Forestry and silviculture takes a close second.
People from across this Province and even across the Country have been working in the Zama area since the late 60’s and now is no different. While not everyone who works in Zama, calls Zama City home, but while they are here they are Zamanites! We hope that everyone working in the area take the opportunities to get out of camp and enjoy everything Zama City has to offer.
If you are not working for a company that has their own camp. Accommodations in the community consist of private rentals, the fully serviced campground in the summer and Noralta Inn hosts camp-like accommodations and has a kitchen that also gives the locals the choice for eating out locally.
There is a small store ‘The Patch’ located at Noralta. Bluewave Fuels has a cardlock that also has pay at the pump options. Commonwealth Freight delivers just about anything 5 days a week from High Level and points beyond. Canada post outlet is located at the Cornerstone Building.
Internet services are provided through Arrow Technologies or the Telus Hub works well here as well. Fibre-Optic is currently being installed through Arrow with a go-live date sometime in the late-spring of 2022.
